| 22/11/2012– 22/11/2012 | Uppsala, Sweden The gap between biomedical science and the healthcare industry is growing in Europe, as in much of the world. But Europe’s healthcare systems are not keeping pace. Still organised around doctors and hospitals, they are struggling to keep costs under control and improve outcomes. In turn, Europe’s life sciences industry fears it will lose its innovative edge in an age of government austerity, tighter regulations and falling R&D productivity. This event will explore radical and innovative ways of bringing together science and healthcare to address the challenge of creating high-quality patient-centric care at an affordable price. Leading international biomedical researchers will join industry leaders, policy-makers and healthcare experts for a day of high-level debate where thought-provoking case studies of initiatives and innovation will act as catalysts for discussion. Life Science Frontiers will ask the difficult questions, stimulating fresh thinking and new approaches towards both |

That is unfortunate, because how we communicate is often as important as what we communicate. To get a grip on our modes of communication and learn how to improve our efforts in this respect, this year’s Life Sciences Momentum will zoom in on the how, when, where, why and what of communicating science. |
